Product containing sweeteners

In assessing whether this requirement applies, it must be noted that it only applies when the sweeteners are approved additives. This is the first element in the relevant part of Annex III:

TYPE OR CATEGORY OF FOOD: Foods containing sweeteners PARTICULARS
Foods containing a sweetener or sweeteners authorised pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008. ‘with sweetener(s)’ this statement shall accompany the name of the food.

The following is an example of product where, because it has a food additive acting as a sweetener, the name of the food has to include reference to 'sweetener' or 'sweeteners'. The product is a Carbonated lemonade drink. First, here is the ingredients list which includes 'Sweeteners: Acesulfame K, Sucralose':

This therefore means that the name of the food (the 'descriptive name') must include 'with sweeteners'. This is the Lemonade bottle's descriptive name which ends with the required statement::
