Areas of Interest:

My research interests cover an interdisciplinary perspective on how food and nutrition can impact human health and the consumer perspective of food and the food system.

Recent research projects:

  • Nutrition, cognition & health - The impact of acute hydration on cognitive performance in adults
  • Gamification in nutritional education - Using escape rooms to promote innovative learning experiences about nutrition
  • Consumers and food sustainability - Consumer perspectives and solutions on domestic food waste

I am also passionate about public engagement and science communication, participating in events at Pint of Science, British Science Week: Science Slam competition and the Royal Berkshire Show.
