The Centre for Food Security recognises the importance of training in the agriculture and food sectors. We have recently been successful in securing funding for both a BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnership and a BBSRC Advanced Training Partnership in this area.

The BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnership is a collaboration between the Centre for Food Security, Rothamsted Research, the University of Lancaster, the University of Southampton and the University of Surrey. Over three years up to thirty six PhD students will receive high quality training in areas of science relevant to food security. For more information please see BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) in Food Security

The Food Advanced Training Partnership provides high level training opportunities to people within the food industry. This can range from a Postgraduate Certificate through to a Professional Doctorate. Qualifications are jointly accredited by the Universities of Reading and Birmingham and delivered in partnership with Rothamsted Research and Leatherhead Food Research. For more information please see Food ATP
