Teaching and Learning

Teaching and learning within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Social Science is overseen by the Faculty Board for Teaching & Learning with the aim of supporting the University's vision by helping provide a stimulating and challenging educational experience which is responsive to the needs of students and society at large within a welcoming and supportive learning and teaching community.

As part of its overall learning and teaching strategy, the University aspires to produce graduates who have developed skills and knowledge of life-long value, have the confidence and enthusiasm to fulfil their personal ambitions and seek to make a difference in the world in which they live.

Faculty Board for Teaching and Learning

The Faculty Board for Teaching and Learning is responsible for the implementation of the University Quality Assurance policies in the context of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science.  The Board is responsible for defining and monitoring the operation of all quality assurance procedures associated with the learning and teaching environment for both undergraduates and taught postgraduate degrees.  This general remit includes ensuring uniformity of practice within the Faculty and identifying and disseminating good practice.
