Cleaning Services
The Cleaning Services team provide a professional and pro-active cleaning service to over 300 buildings across the University's campuses. The Department provides a complete in-house service, directly employing an experienced, friendly and efficient staff. All of our cleaning operatives are fully trained to the Cleaning Services Training Programme (CSTP) and work is audited on a regular basis by supervisors and managers.
Additionally, our staff are qualified in manual handling, fire procedures and COSHH.
Our core service is centrally funded and we pride ourselves on our ability to provide quality and cost-effective cleaning, tailored to the needs of our clients. In addition, we are able to provide a range of enhanced services on a one-off or contract basis. We are committed to using cleaning materials that are not harmful to the environment wherever possible.
As part of the Estates and Facilities Department (E&F), Cleaning staff at University of Reading have contributed to E&F achieving the Investors in People award. In 2011 we have not only maintained the Hospitality Assured Bronze award, but we are now proud to announce this has been upgraded to a Silver award.
