Main Functions

encourage inter-disciplinary linkages between researchers
promote dialogue between them, practitioners and policy makers
support the involvement of older people and those with a disability, as well as their intermediaries
support the running of workshops for EQUAL Network members and those with similar interests
disseminating the results of the workshops
maintaining data bases of value to EQUAL and its members
liaising with members to keep the EQUAL web-site up to date
scanning the horizon for calls for research and possible sources of funding and disseminating this information
publicizing the EQUAL Network as appropriate

Availability

Verity works at the University of Reading four days a week (generally Monday to Thursday). The equivalent of two of these days are for work as Co-ordinator of EQUAL. The remaining two days are internal to the University of Reading, to promote links between existing and emerging activities in the fields of ageing and disability.
