Areas of Interest:

My primary research interest is Early Modern literature and social/family history. I have also developed a research interest in those areas in which I teach, particularly Packaging Literature and Shakespeare on Film. I continue to have a strong interest in Early Modern literature around death and dying.

My publications also reflect my strong interest in, and commitment to, teaching, having written six study skills guides for Palgrave Macmillan and contributed chapters to others. My forthcoming publication 'How to Succeed as a Mature Student' reflects my interest in this area.
