The Centre houses a comprehensive collection of music and music teaching material for use both in schools and private practice, including vocal, instrumental, ensemble and orchestral scores, periodicals, and the publications of the Music Teaching in Private Practice Initiative.

Dissertations of the MA (Mtpp) and MA in Music Education are available for consultation, as well as a selection of recent PhDs

Archive

An extensive archive of documents relating to the development of music education in the United Kingdom is also housed in the Centre. Applications to consult the archive should be directed to Dr Mary Stakelum.

Availability

Facilities are open to any member of the public. The collection is for browsing and reference only - there are no facilities for borrowing material.
