Fees and Funding

Trainees on the Graduate Teacher Programme who work in a state-maintained school will receive a salary on the national scale for unqualified teachers. This salary is partly funded by the TDA, which also pays the full training fees due to the University of Reading. 

There are no salary grants or training grants available to those trainees working in the independent sector.  The employing school will be required to pay a training fee to the University of Reading.
