I am studying the PGCE Secondary Course in English as a mature student, having completed an Open University degree in literature last year. The course is very intensive but great fun and will give me a really great start in my career as an English teacher.

After spending three years studying psychology at Reading, I worked for a year producing resources for children with special educational needs. I have always really enjoyed working with children of all ages and getting computers to do what they're supposed to do comes naturally- teaching ICT seemed the obvious choice. Since the start of my PGCE, everything has moved very quickly and we've all had a great deal of support from the lecturers and our course tutors. The facilities here are fist rate and, as a result, everything has gone very smoothly.
