Funding for Postgraduate Research Students

Institute of Education Postgraduate Research Studentships

A number of Open Studentships are available for those seeking to undertake a three-year PhD with the Institute of Education at the University of Reading, commencing October 2011.

The Institute of Education is consistently ranked amongst the best UK universities in Education league tables. It offers a strong and supportive research environment. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), nearly 70% of its research outputs were rated as internationally recognised or better.

Open Studentships cover tuition fees for three years at Home/EU rates.

Applications are welcome from those seeking to study for a higher degree in any area within the field of education, but we are particularly interested in applicants in the areas of First or Second Language Education, Inclusion and Music Education, who can demonstrate strong research potential in their chosen field.
