Background:
- In January 2016, I joined the University of Reading, Institute of Education. Prior to this I worked in Secondary schools, where I have taught for sixteen years.
- My experience in secondary schools varied as I undertook different roles in KS 3 (Numeracy co-ordinator) , KS 4 ( Lead teacher ), head of department and Assistant Headteacher: Raising Standards Leader. My leadership responsibilities were Assistant Headteacher at two secondary schools.
- I worked in three diverse schools: an all-girls school in Lambeth, an all-boys school in Hillingdon and a Comprehensive school in Teddington. It has been a pleasure to enrich my personal and professional career through my teaching in these schools. I have also worked at a Primary school in Cape Town, South Africa for 7 years.
