Main responsibilities in the Institute: BA(Ed) Primary, Co-director, BA(Ed) Primary, Professional Studies Co-ordinator, including Advanced Teaching Project liaison and Partnership Development.

University responsibilities
Chair:University Schools Primary Partnership Committee, Chair:BA(Ed), School Experience Boards, Member:Institute of Education Mentor Review Group.

Professional focus
Inclusion: cultural, racial and SEN, PSHE and Citizenship, Learning and teaching styles, The creative arts as a framework for Professional Studies and CPD,

Communicative competences: theory of mind and multi-intelligences in relation to reading of visual images.

Recent professional achievements
National Gallery 'Take One Picture' scheme: successful involvement of Professional Studies course in a national creative arts project

Current involvement with University of London, Institute of Education SEN Inclusion ITT/E pilot project:

• piloting newly developed materials on Year 3 BA(Ed) Inclusion course
• schools partnership development to include organisation of Year 3 BA(Ed) students in pupil SEN units attached to mainstream schools
• involvement in small-scale research project: 'ITT/E students' narratives of developing professional skills: providing for pupil SEN in the mainstream classroom'.
