Our Postgraduate/Continuing Professional Development modular programme is designed to support teachers and other professionals working with children in their career development.We liaise closely with the Local Authorities that surround the University to provide relevant courses for teachers to enhance their expertise.

Whether you are interested to develop your career as an advanced skills teacher or to take on management roles our range of taught modules is wide covering effective teaching and classroom management, subject specialisms, special educational needs, mentorship and management.

Performance management now provides teachers with better access to continuing professional development (CPD), and the professional standards for teachers will help guide PPD/CPD choices.

NQTs who have followed the PGCE route to teaching may well have obtained M level credits as part of their Initial Training. Our programme articulates well with this and enables teachers to progress swiftly to working towards diploma or Masters qualifications.
