BSc Business Economics

BSc Business Economics is an undergraduate degree course in the Department of Economics, designed for students who have or have not studied business, economics or a related subject previously.

BSc Business Economics focuses on the key principles of economic analysis and accompanying quantitative methods, adopting a technical approach. These core areas are compulsory in all three parts of the degree. Students taking the degree will acquire a thorough knowledge and appreciation of core economic theory and of its uses and applications, primarily in relation to large organisations and the world of business.

What is the difference between the BA and the BSc?

BSc Business Economics takes a more technical approach to the subject with a greater mathematical and statistical focus. BA Business Economics is designed to suit those interested in focusing on the application of theory and the factors which influence key decisions and policy making.
