Development Economics at Reading Research

At present, our staff undertake projects on a wide range of development and social issues in South Asia and Africa, from the impact of FDI in developing countries, to studies on the impact of genetically modified cotton in India, the environmental costs of economic growth in China, religious school quality in Bangladesh, women entrepreneurs in Gambia, and the cross-country effect of inequality on economic development.
