MSc Economics of International Business and Finance

MSc Economics of International Business and Finance is a specialist postgraduate masters course in the Dept of Economics.
It provides you with an in-depth knowledge of the interrelationships between the areas of finance and multinational organisations. In studying MSc Economics of International Business and Finance you will examine multinational organisations and develop a strong understanding of the key economic issues underlying the role of financial institutions in the macroeconomy. In addition, you will learn the basic theories which underpin financial systems, with a specific emphasis on their interrelationship with international business firms.
Course structure
Within MSc Economics of International Business and Finance you will complete a mix of core and optional modules, allowing you to tailor the programme towards your own interests.
Core modules
To be eligible to take the dissertation, you must complete at least 100 credits of taught modules in the autumn term, and achieve an average coursework mark of at least 60% in that term.
In addition, those students doing the Applied Research Project must take the module Economics of Financial Markets.
Assessment
MSc Economics of International Business and Finance students will be assessed through written examinations, dissertation/research project, assignments, case studies and group presentations.
Entry requirements
You are expected to have obtained a UK upper second class honours degree, or the international equivalent, involving a good understanding of core Economics and quantitative methods at an undergraduate level.
