Felix PhD

Scholarships

University of Reading students are particularly eligible to apply for a Felix scholarship to allow them to study in the UK without the financial pressure. The University of Reading is one of only three UK Universities where students are eligible for these scholarships. For further details, see http://www.felixscholarship.org/

The Scholarships are open to:

  • Academically talented Indian nationals (under 30 years of age) who hold at least a first class Bachelor's degree from a recognised Indian university or a comparable institution; or
  • Academically talented non-Indian nationals (under 30 years of age) who hold at least a first class Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or a comparable institution and who are recommended by their chosen university.

Department of Economics PhD Scholarships

All applications for research degrees are automatically considered for this award, which pay full tuition fees for the first year of study and is renewable for a further two years, subject to progress.

Offers are normally made at the same time as those for a place on the PhD programme, and are conditional on you meeting certain requirements, including not having been offered funding for the same purpose from other sources.

You will normally be expected to hold a masters degree (distinction), or equivalent, from an internationally-respected university. Exceptionally, awards may also be offered to those with a high grade at undergraduate level and/or a high merit at masters level.

Competitively awarded PhD studentships by the University, which pay all or part of your tuition fees.

SPEIR PhD Fees-Only Awards

 

 

 

These awards cover tuition fees for a maximum of three years at the Home/EU rate.
