Training

All of us have a responsibility to create and sustain an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone at the University, so we ask all staff to complete our online learning module about equality and diversity.

Online training module

This hour-long module provides an introduction to diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace and includes short quizzes to assess your knowledge. The training is mandatory for all staff and you will be asked to complete it every three years.  You can:

  • complete the module when you want and repeat the questions as often as you wish
  • bookmark your progress and return to it when you like
  • complete the module in one session or over a number of days.

You can access this training using your standard University login details. Your Employee Self Service training record will be updated once completed.

The module requires sound so you may need to use headphones.

Access the online diversity training here.

Unconscious Bias

Unconscious Bias: this challenging 30-minute module takes you on a journey where you will discover your own unconscious biases and ways to combat these biases in the workplace.

Access Unconscious Bias training here.

Unconscious Bias for panel members: for those involved in selection, recruitment and promotion process activities. This e-learning course provides a comprehensive understanding of the concept of unconscious bias.
