Job Title:
IFP Senior Academic Tutor Social Science Pathway

My main role involves development and co-ordination of the Teaching & Learning Programme which offers workshops, showcases and sessions to all staff across the University. I contribute to the delivery of the Academic Practice Programme (APP) and act as tutor to participants. For the FLAIR CPD Scheme, I provide support for applicants at the writing retreats and review their applications. I work closely with the Community of Practice for University Teaching Fellows and also for School Directors of Postgraduate Taught Studies.

Prior to joining the Centre for Quality Support and Development (CQSD) I spent ten years teaching and supporting students in Statistics and Computer Science on varied programmes in: Henley Business School, School of Systems Engineering, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, International and Study Language Institute, and Department of Psychology.

Recent Projects:
I am currently leading a two-year project which involves the design and development of a set of five bespoke online tutorials in statistics, providing an interactive learning experience at different levels for undergraduate and postgraduate students here at the University. Using subject-specific data to engage our learners, we are working in collaboration with academic colleagues in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Consumer Behaviour and Marketing, Economics, Food and Nutritional Sciences, Geography, Law, Meteorology, Pharmacy, Psychology, and Politics.
