Short Courses Option modules 2009/10
We are offering a small programme of weekly part-time courses (mornings, afternoons, evenings and some weekends) which are open to adults of all ages, with the aim of making university education as accessible as possible.
Unless specifically stated, our courses require no previous experience - enthusiasm and commitment is all that is required! All courses are taught in an informal and welcoming atmosphere by our dedicated team of tutors come along and realise your potential.
In 2009/10 we are offering a programme of around 30 courses in:
- Archaeology
- Creative writing
- History
- History of art and architecture
- Language and culture
- Literature and film
- Music
- Science
- Social sciences
- Study skills
The courses provide the opportunity to learn about specific themes, sample a variety of disciplines or, over time, build up a wide knowledge within a favoured area of interest. They allow a flexible learning approach where you are free to design your own long-term programme of study, whilst being eligible to receive formal recognition of your efforts in terms of credit accumulation.
