Public Programmes provision for 2009/10

Updated 08/07/09 - read about the decision on the School of Continuing Education, from the University Council meeting

Certificates of Higher Education CertHE group2

Following the decision of the University Council with regards to the future of the public programmes in the School of Continuing Education, we will offer a limited provision of modules in 2009/10 and 2010/11 so that students enrolled on the Certificates of Higher Education in History, History of Art and Architecture, English Literature,  Archaeology and Combined Studies, and who have accumulated 40 credits or more of core modules, will be able to complete their Certificates of Higher Education.

Core Certificate of Higher Education modules in 2009/10 will be running at Reading (therefore students currently attending Certificates of Higher Education at Newbury College will have to complete their studies at Reading).

For further information see our list of core modules available in 2009/10.

This should enable the majority of students, currently enrolling on a Certificate of Higher Education to complete their 80 credits core component by the end of 2009/10 (Please note: core modules will not be running in 2010/11).

In order to complete the option component of their Certificates of Higher Education, students will be able to select from a small range of option modules available during 2009/10 and 2010/11.
