Collaborating with business

At Reading, we aim to develop sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with business and industry and to support the exchanges of ideas, people and services to help solve real world problems.

In the last 5 years alone, the University has delivered over 2000 projects, bringing together specialist multi-disciplinary research teams to address the needs of clients across a wide spectrum of business, research and development activities in a variety of markets.  Income from projects has enabled a range of support for purchase of equipment; the employment of Research Assistants and recruitment of PhD Studentships and Post Docs.  Please see Case studies currently designed for business readers, show a small sample of such activities.

The Research & Enterprise Development team work with Schools to integrate support for the University’s Research and Enterprise activities.  The team can be contacted for information, help and support for collaborative research with industry.  This includes advice on finding industry partners and information on funding schemes, as well as queries on how to carry out consultancy and CPD.
