Join the University Car Club

Need a car, but don't have access to one? The University of Reading Car Club gives students and staff access to a fleet of Pay-As-You-Go vehicles available for hire on campus from only £5.50 an hour. Pick up a car, use it, drop it back for someone else when you're done - it really is that simple! Fully inclusive rates include insurance, tax, maintenance, the Congestion Charge and even your first 20 miles of fuel!

In order to use the service, you need to become a member, and be at least 19 years old. Once you're a member, you can book the cars on-line, over the phone or by using your iPhone - minutes, days or weeks in advance.

Membership is normally £50 a year, but currently free for life for University of Reading students and staff. Enrolment is simple and takes just a few minutes. The cars, which are low CO2 and feature start-stop technology to reduce emissions, are parked at Whiteknights Campus outside Whiteknights House.
