Batteries

If you have lead-acid batteries and other large capacity accumulators, contact us at waste@reading.ac.uk and the Clean & Green team will collect them and arrange for their disposal.

If you have smaller, dry-cell batteries such as NiMH, NiCaD (AA, AAA etc.) or Lithium cells then they can be recycled through the internal post.  All University departments and staff can use this service free of charge by posting your batteries to Battery Recycling - Post Room and we will do the rest.

Are you a student?  There is a battery disposal point in R U Being Served in the RUSU mall at which you can drop off your old batteries.
