Fly Tipping

Have you seen bags of waste or furniture in the corridors?Example of fly tipping

Are there bits of rubbish next to the external waste containers?

Did you see someone adding waste to a skip without permission?

Has waste been left behind from a refurbishment or construction project?

If you have seen anything like this happening across campus or at halls we want to know about it. But please follow these guidelines to keep yourself and others safe.

If staff or students see evidence of fly tipping:

  • DO NOT TOUCH the waste: It may contain syringes, broken glass or hazardous substances.
  • DO NOT DISTURB the site: there may be evidence that could help identify the culprit.
  • Clean & Green staff will remove fly tipping and dispose of it safely.
