There is only so much that can be done locally within EEST. We rely heavily on groups of individuals and motivated teams, including Environmental Champions, Building Managers and Cleaning Services to do their bit to reduce energy consumption. We also work closely with other groups to encourage more responsible use of utilities on site. Building Managers play a vital role in ensuring that their buildings are used correctly and that communications reach their final destination. Our Cleaning Services team also provides valuable assistance, including turning off lights when they have finished their rounds in the morning. Through simple measures such as turning off lights and computers at the end of the day, users can easily reduce building electricity consumption by over 8%.
