Fees and Funding

Funding for Postgraduate study is available through one main source: the AHRC. In addition the University offers a few postgraduate studentships across all disciplines. The Faculties of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences offer a few awards on a similar basis, although candidates will also be expected to apply for external awards. Finally, some funding is available from the Classics in the form of bursaries of £500 to £1500 p.a. to help full and part-time postgraduate students who are otherwise self-funding. Smaller sums of £50 to £200 may be made available to research students to help with their travel or other expenses. Contact us for details of how to apply.
