Industrial Research

In addition to fundamental research carried out by CIRG members, CIRG enjoys multiple links with industrial partners many of which are supported via very active Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Office at the University of Reading. For example, a long standing collaboration with an e-procurement company @UK has been supported with 3 KTP projects on building probabilistic models of consumer behaviour, and intelligent product search via semantic page ranking and automated product classification. These projects falling within the remit of Digital Economy which is one of the main research and prioritisation themes of the EPSRC announced recently illustrate our efforts to maintain high relevance and impact of our research directions. Other industrial partners include Thales Research, GDS instruments, and the National Grid Company.
