PhD studentships
The Centre for Integrative Neuroscience & Neurodynamics (CINN) at the University of Reading invites enquiries for Felix-funded PhD Scholarships for an October 2012 start.
Felix scholarships are awarded to gifted underprivileged students from India and certain other developing countries providing the opportunity of furthering their postgraduate education by attending a university in the UK. Further information on the Felix scheme may be obtained here: http://www.felixscholarship.org
Attracting over £4 million in research funding in its first 3 years, CINN is a thriving research community with state-of-the-art research facilities including research-dedicated 3T Siemens Trio MRI scanner, TMS, EEG, and psychophysiology labs, along with excellent computational facilities.
Applications for Felix Scholarships are open to: (1) Academically gifted and underprivileged nationals of India, under 30 years of age, who must hold at least a first class Bachelor's degree from a recognised Indian university or a comparable institution; or (2) Academically gifted and underprivileged non-Indian nationals, under 30 years of age, who must hold at least a first class Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or a comparable institution and who are recommended by their chosen university.
In the first instance, applicants should contact a member of staff from CINN who they would be willing to work with, and send a CV and a summary of their research interests to Dr Kelly Sloan: k.d.sloan@reading.ac.uk
