Study in Greece
The Centre has an ERASMUS link with the University of Crete. If you are interested in studying in Crete, watch this space for further details.
We also have good relations with the British School at Athens, a research centre in the heart of Athens. The BSA runs summer courses and a biennial postgraduate programme, and also provides a nice base and accommodation for those wishing to visit Athens.
If you would like to learn Modern Greek in Greece, there are two programmes which you might consider.
One takes place in a seaside town just outside Thessaloniki in Macedonia and is organised by the Centre for Balkan Studies and is much to be recommended. It runs over four weeks from late July to late August. Click here for more details. There may be some financial support available.
The second is organised by the University of Athens and runs over about five weeks from early June to mid-July. Scholarships are available to help with costs. You can download information and applications about this here. The deadline for applications is mid- March.
If you are interested in applying for either of these, please contact Dr Duff by email as soon as possible.
