Amy Bannister: gaining independence with hands-on experience

The Chemical Analysis Facility (CAF) houses state-of-the-art instrumentation used by students and staff from departments across the University. As a Chemistry undergraduate at Reading, you will get hands-on experience in the CAF lab, working alongside our researchers in your final-year project.

Amy Bannister carried out her final-year research project in the CAF lab, alongside Dr Philippa Cranwell.

"Working with Philippa has been really good. I could then go off much more independent - I've been able to continue on the research without having to rely on supervisors. I'm definitely ready to go off and work now.”
