Professor Marston's research activities centre upon the application of the methods of physical chemistry to problems in atmospheric chemistry. He carries out research on reaction mechanisms and kinetics, and the measurement of spectroscopic parameters. These measurements inform our understanding of topics such as urban pollution and climate change. He is currently PI on over £600 k in research funding from NERC.
