Community at the Chaplaincy
A Student's View:
"The chaplaincy has attracted a large range of people from different ages, backgrounds and maturities which shows the open mind and dynamic of the community. The chaplaincy is probably the most open place on campus (according to my current knowledge) and one of
the most active, which gives an extremely positive impression towards students like me."

Pastoral Care
Life at the University can be full of challenges. Sometimes it helps to speak to somebody. All of the chaplains are available to provide a listening ear. Feel free to call, email or just drop in.
Social Events
Whether it's our weekly soup lunch, our bbqs or a visit to the Parliament, there are plenty of social activities happening around the Chaplaincy.
Fairtrade and Cooking
Students and staff are welcome to make use of our kitchen facilities and our fairtrade stall. We help hold two Fairtrade events each year - a Christmas Fayre in the Autumn term, and a week of themed activities in the Spring term.
Baking: every Friday in term time (11.30-1.30pm) we teach people to make bread. It takes half an hour (we ask for £2 to cover costs). You make it, we bake it. (Please book in advance.)
International Focus
The Chaplaincy supports the work of International Focus on campus. Run by volunteers from Reading, this group organises great value trips around Britain. See their website (www.internationalfocus.org.uk) for further details.
