Brexit – what you need to know
The University of Reading is a global institution and we are fully committed to our staff, students and partners no matter where they are from.
Our teaching and research is powered by international academic talent and partnerships and benefits the UK, Europe and beyond. We are proud to welcome a diverse range of students from across the world.
The UK left the European Union on 31 January 2020. The Withdrawal Agreement sets out that there shall be a post-Brexit transition period ending on 31 December 2020.
While there is continued uncertainty around its implications for our students, colleagues, partners and the wider education sector, a Brexit Working Group at the University of Reading has been working to identify and manage potential impacts and coordinate our preparation for this whether the UK leaves the EU with or without a deal at the end of 2020.
