Dr Richard Bonser

I joined the Centre for Biomimetics here at Reading as lecturer during October 2002. My background is in organismal biology, having read Zoology as my first degree followed by a Ph.D. at the University of Bristol. After that, I spent several years in postdoctoral positions at Bristol, Manchester and Oxford before taking up a post as a project leader at BBSRC Silsoe Research Institute. My research interests are fairly broad but the principal theme is understanding the mechanical design of organisms.
