Dr Richard Bonser I joined the Centre for Biomimetics here at Reading as lecturer during October 2002. My background is in organismal biology, having read Zoology as my first degree followed by a Ph.D. at the University of Bristol. After that, I spent several years in postdoctoral positions at Bristol, Manchester and Oxford before taking up a post as a project leader at BBSRC Silsoe Research Institute. My research interests are fairly broad but the principal theme is understanding the mechanical design of organisms. Use the menu on the left to find out more about my research interests
