Evolutionary Biology

Evolution is the core process of biology and has produced the rich biodiversity of our planet. We need to study and understand evolution not just for its own considerable fascination, but also to help us make informed decisions in key fields as diverse as agriculture, conservation and medicine. This module will provide a broad introduction to the study of evolution, covering topics such as natural selection, sexual selection, speciation, host-parasite coevolution and long-term evolutionary history.
