Birds: Diversity, Behaviour and Conservation

Birds are among the most charismatic and fascinating of all animals, and in this module we will explore the diversity of bird life, how they are physically adapted to the demands of flight, migration and orientation, their foraging and mating behaviour, and consider the conservation challenges they face. Practical classes focus on foraging behaviour, from theoretical and experimental approaches, including some field work on campus.
