MSc Wildlife Management and Conservation - Modules

Research Planning

Research PlanningThis module is concerned with preparation for subsequent project work. Too often students embark on a project without a clear understanding of what is required, why and what will be done with the data once collected. The module consists of guided self-study. The topic studied will relate closely to the subject of the summer project so will vary among students. Students will be expected to produce an extensive literature survey of their chosen project topic. In addition they will be expected to produce a design, a dummy data set that could result, carry out appropriate statistical analysis of the data and interpret the various outcomes possible.

The module is entirely in-course assessed.
