MSc Wildlife Management and Conservation - Modules
Mammal Conservation
This module consists of a few lectures but is based primarily upon seminars presented by members of the group and, as such, the subject areas and species covered are entirely student driven. A key transferable skill developed during the module is the ability to stand up and talk about a subject for longer periods of time than students have previously experienced. Specific topics covered varies among years but could include captive breeding programmes, criteria for reintroductions, environmental enrichment, the use of flagship species, ecosystem engineers, conservation strategies for specific species, the role of education in conservation and ecotourism (35 hours seminars).
Spring Term: 10 credits (Dr P.J. Baker)
