Transferable skills

By the end of the course, students will have developed the following transferable skills:

1. development of research, herbarium and field techniques;
2. ability to use database/library resources;
3. data analysis using univariate and multivariate statistics and other techniques;
4. preparation of research proposals;
5. communication skills, written and verbal, poster presentation and use of PowerPoint;
6. word processing, use of the Internet and Worldwide Web, statistics packages and other computer skills.
