School of Biological Sciences - Glasshouse and Grounds
The School has extensive facilities for growing plants for both experimental research and practical classes. The glasshouses provide growing space for plants in a variety of controlled heated environments whilst the experimental grounds, which lie along side, provides growing space for those plants that require anatural environment.
The Field Unit is an additional facility, located at Shinfield, which is used when more space is required. This can accommodate larger experiments and poly tunnels.
