Undergraduate Courses

Picture of Billie Whitelaw at the Beckett Centenary exhibition, 2006With specialists in a range of disciplines across the Departments of English Literature, Film, Theatre & Television, Philosophy, Art, and Modern Languages and European Studies, there are several undergraduate courses that draw on Beckett's work.

Staff are experienced supervisors and teachers, and use a range of techniques to engage students and enhance their learning, drawing on the world-leading collection of manuscripts and other materials held in the Beckett Collection at the University's Special Collections. Undergraduates wishing to undertake a Dissertation on Beckett are encouraged to approach any of the specialist staff in their department.

Several Part 1, 2 and 3 modules introduce students to Samuel Beckett's works. There are also dedicated modules on Beckett in the Departments of English and Film, Theatre and Television.
