Krapp's Last Tape - photograph by John HaynesWith specialists in a range of disciplines across the Departments of English Literature, Film, Theatre & Television, Modern Languages and European Studies, and Philosophy, there are opportunities to study Samuel Beckett at postgraduate level across the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.

Staff are experienced postgraduate supervisors and teachers, and use a range of techniques to engage students and enhance their learning. Taught postgraduate students will have the opportunity to undertake research on Beckett using the world-leading collection of his manuscripts and other materials held in the University's Special Collections.

Beckett's manuscripts feature on the core MA (Res) module, 'Materiality & Textuality', in the Department of English, and there is a dedicated optional module on Beckett in the MA(Res) in English.

Taught postgraduates wishing to undertake a Dissertation on Beckett are encouraged to approach any member of staff in their department specialising in Beckett.

More details of taught postgraduate courses and opportunities will be posted here in due course. In the meantime, please contact the departments below for more details about the courses currently on offer.
