Aristotle contemplates the bust of Homer, RembrandtThe School of Continuing Education was set up to provide courses for adults who wish to do some studying without having to go to university full time or commit to a degree course. The school is committed to Equal Opportunities, and all adults are welcome at our classes regardless of age, gender, race, disability or social or educational background. The majority of our courses require no qualifications to enrol.

Languages at Reading

At Reading we offer the opportunity to study a wide range of languages at a variety of levels.  There is flexibility in the type of course offered and, if studying for a degree, you may combine a language with a wide variety of other subjects.
