Glenn Murcutt's Australian Islamic Centre in Melbourne embraces a rich cultural context, writes Piers Taylor.

Piers Taylor is a renowned award-winning architect, broadcaster and academic. Called 'one of the brightest architects in the profession', Piers has founded two architectural practices - Mitchell Taylor Workshop and Invisible Studio. Piers now works with our School of Architecture as a part-time academic.

On a recent trip to Australia, Piers took the opportunity to review Glenn Murcutt's most significant building - an Islamic Mosque in Melbourne. His article appears in this month's Architectural Review, which you can read here: Magnum Opus Article.
