Visit day in the archaeology departmentWe welcome all prospective students to attend one of our visit days which will give you an opportunity to visit the campus, see the department, meet current students and staff, and find out how we teach and research archaeology.

Typical visit day programme:

10.00: Arrival at University of Reading and Registration

10.25: Formal Welcome from the Head of Department (Professor Martin Bell)

10.35: Archaeology at Reading (Dr Gabor Thomas) A talk about the Archaeology degree course structure

11.00: Joint Honours Interviews Archaeology Staff - Archaeology Building. Handling the Past/Science and Archaeology - Lab G.08 , Allen Laboratory

12.30: Lunch Students go to Park Eat (Windsor Hall) Parents join staff for a sandwich lunch in the Department

13.15: Tour of the Department

13.40 Silchester and Fieldwork Opportunities (Amanda Clarke)

14.20: Finance and Accommodation Talk by the Faculty Senior Administrative Assistant (Colin Baker)

15.00: Single Honours Interviews - Archaeology Department. Joint students visit partner departments - Classics, Ancient History , History and Italian
