University of Reading Alumni Discounts

If you are currently studying at Reading or you are an alumnus of the University, you may be eligible for an Alumni Discount on tuition fees for your next course. Find out more: Staying at Reading for postgraduate study.

Funding

  • For 2015 entry we will make available bursaries of up to £2000 to overseas students who accept a place on the following Masters programmes:
    MA Archaeology 
    MA Archaeology of Medieval Europe 
    MRes in Archaeology
    MSc Environmental Archaeology

    These are full-time bursaries, but we also have the capacity to make available of bursaries of £500 for each year of study of part-time students..
  • The FT Wainwright Award  is an awards scheme administered by the Department of Archaeology to help students extend their archaeological experience and it supports applications from both undergraduate and Masters students.
  • All MA students are eligible to compete for support with the research expenses incurred in the pursuit of their dissertations.

Prizes

Students who submit outstanding dissertations may be entered for external prizes, such as the Royal Archaeological Institute Master's Dissertation Prize and the John Hurst Memorial Prize of the Medieval Settlement Research Group.
