  • Research on improving the health quality of primarily milk and dairy products (but also monogastric-derived food products and ruminant-derived meat).
  • Research on nutritional physiology of domestic animals, and the effect of nutritional intervention on animal health.
  • Contribute to lectures on animal science-based topics.
  • Supervise and tutor undergraduate/postgraduate students.
  • University of Reading Ambassador to the British Society of Animal Science Academia Association.
Areas of Interest:
  • Improving the health quality of milk and dairy products (primarily improving the fatty acid profile) by changing the dairy cow diet.
  • Effect of dietary interventions on the health and welfare of the dairy cow.
  • Development of biomarkers in milk for the detection of dairy cow disease.
  • In vitro digestion assessment of animal feeds (particularly fatty acid digestion).
