Bursaries and Scholarships:
Edith Margaret Elderfield Trust covers the UK tuition fees for a British student to attend one of the applied economics courses; Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Development Economics, Food Economics and Marketing, MSc Research Agricultural and Food Economics
There is no need to apply - all eligible applicants who hold offers will be considered automatically.
The Hirst Scholarship covers the tuition fees and all other costs for one student from a less developed country to study the Agriculture and Development MSc programme. This scholarship is awarded every other year (in even years).

The NFU Mutual Centenary Award gives annual bursaries to pay up to 75% of course fees for selected postgraduate students in agriculture (Masters or PhD). The award is open to students from the UK who have gained, or are expected to gain, a 2:1 or above in agriculture or a closely related degree, and have been accepted or provisionally accepted on a Masters or PhD course in agriculture in the UK.
The Diageo Scholarship provides two students who have been accepted on a Masters course in the Graduate Institute with a full scholarship covering tuition fees, living costs and accommodation, and transport costs too and from the UK. The Scholarship, generously provided by Diageo plc, is awarded on academic merit to students resident in Sub-Saharan Africa, selected from applications received by GIIDAE. There is no separate application process and all eligible candidates will be considered. An applicant may wish to include a statement of interest with their application explaining why they feel they should receive the scholarship. The awarding of the Scholarship takes place in June and you will be advised only if you are one of the two successful candidates.
Bursaries for International Students following courses in International Development. GIIDAE offers a number of bursaries worth between £1,000 and £5,000 to international students following courses in International Development. All eligible students holding offers will be considered for these bursaries – there are no application forms and recipients will be notified if they have been successful. Do not contact us – we will contact you!
These bursaries may be extended to full scholarships in collaboration with the following organisations:

- The Beit Trust/Chevening
